Various and Gould is an artist duo , which has been working in close collaboration since 2005. Mutual interests like their love for paper, the enthusiasm for accidental beauty in the everyday life, collaborations, and above all working in the public space, is the basis for their teamwork. Together they playfully take on the otherwise serious themes of work, migration, (sexual) identity or the financial crisis utilizing mediums such as screen-printing and collage. The content forms the base on which Various & Gould build the Artwork. To delve into these complex themes, they often develop ideas in series. Influenced by (political) poster graphics, Dada and also Pop Art, vivid colors combined with words or aphorisms are characteritics for their works. As urban aspects play an important role in their creative process - be it in theme, material or stylistic expression - their art is best described as "Urban Art". Spots are chosen carefully as each piece is dependent upon the context of its surroundings. Various &  Gould live and work in Berlin.
