They have all emanated from American urban street culture, loosely tied to the subcultures of skateboarding, graffiti, punk and hip-hop. It is this group of artists, which moves young America like no other: fine arts, the fashion and music industry, literature, cinema and sports have been strongly influenced. Today they sell works to established collectors and design products for brands such as Marc Jacobs, Calvin Klein and Nike. They are the descendents of Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring, borne from the avant-garde urban scene, now established artists.
